Viral Analysis

As stated on the Conspiracy Theory page, I don't believe that Wesker has a mild form of the G Virus or anything else to do with the G Virus at all simply because of the timeline. But if you didn't read that page, then here are some key points and factors that I made on the conspiracy theory page.

    1. Wesker was infected with his own virus, from here on referred to as the W Virus, on or before July 28th, 1998.
    2. Birkin is still researching the G Virus on July 27th and 28th, 1998.
    3. Any forms of the G Virus that deviate from the original strain could not have been made until after research on the original strain was completed due to factors of common sense.
    4. If Birkin had developed some form of the G Virus to give Wesker before the original strains research was completed, Wesker wouldn't be stupid enough to take it without knowing all possible outcomes, which could NOT be known if research on the original was not completed.
    5. T Virus research HAD been completed, and therefore other mutated/genetically altered versions of the virus were highly possible.
    6. Umbrella didn't only have these two viruses, there were, of course, more than likely a few others that never made 'big news'.
    7. The G Virus is highly mutagenic, mutating without end, and yet Wesker has only shown one form of physical mutation over six years worth of time. It doesn't make sense to say it's anything to do with or related to the G Virus.

So, now, with this in mind, I'll start analyzing possibilities about said W Virus.

Possibilities:

Wesker's Eyes: Eyes have mutated into the form of a cat, developing more lenses and the ability to see at a higher frame rate for when he's moving in increased speeds. The increase of lenses would be of use for seeing in darker area's as it would catch and reflect more light, causing his eyes to glow as we see in Code Veronica: X. This could also be a secondary reason for wearing the shades: situations where light may be too bright for his eyes.

Wesker's Reflexes: Increased reflexes would suggest the increase of motor activity in the nervous system when sending and receiving signals from the brain. This being the case, it's possible that while exerting himself, Wesker wears out alot faster. Or, it's also possible that he has some mutation that we don't know about, such as a certain chemical in his body or maybe even an 'awakened' area of the brain, that keeps him from growing tired so fast. (If you don't understand what I mean by 'awakened area of the brain', then look up facts about the human brain sometimes. It's a common fact that the average human only utilizes 10% of their mind on a day to day basis. It's theorized that if we used a hundred percent of it, we could utilize telepathy, telekinesis, or some other form of extra sensory perception. How weird would it be to imagine someone's head exploding and actually have it happen?)

Wesker's Physical Strength: Wesker's physical strength is displayed nicely, though in a somewhat exaggerated fashion, in the scene in Code Veronica: X when Chris hits his arm with the pipe. It's doubtful that Chris could muster up the strength to hit something hard enough to bend a pipe like that though. Imagine Wesker's arm is also a pipe and Chris swung against it. It's more likely that the swung pipe would just bounce off of the other, however it does demonstrate what Wesker is capable of when it comes to strength. With the amount of pounds of pressure it would take to bend a pipe like that, there's no doubt that Wesker is indeed strong.

But there is no physical increase of muscle mass, so it's hard to say what might be behind Wesker, biologically, that could make him that strong. You have to consider the bone structure, the materials it's made of, and if there might be some kind of increase to those materials, or if there's a new material altogether. And with said knowledge, think about how Wesker might have to work out. If he's as strong as is displayed, to get a proper workout, he may well have to bench press a thousand pounds or more just to get some decent resistance.

Conclusion: To conclude, it seems as if the W Virus is a bigger enigma than could be imagined, but also that it is, indeed true, that Wesker has more than likely had to adapt several things in his regular, day to day life, just to be able to pretend to be normal when interacting with others, as well as to be able to do things regularly. Control probably has to be exerted constantly, especially when you consider the increase in strength when handling delicate materials.
